In the ’silver lining’ category, the national real estate slowdown has resulted in some meaningful drops in home prices. This has been particularly true in some markets where prices had been soaring just a couple of years ago. These price reductions have opened a window of opportunity in some markets for baby boomers seeking great places to retire at a reasonable cost.
